Birmingham, Alabama – The Southern Medical Association (SMA) announces open registration for the 2008 Certificate in Business Administration for Physicians Course. This course is 100% distance-learning and is affiliated with Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama and led by an astute team of business, legal, and healthcare leaders, all widely received in their respective fields.
The Certificate in Business Administration for Physicians Program provides an overall orientation to the business skills needed to successfully manage the operations and functions of a healthcare organization or medical practice, while allowing physicians to actively participate in its strategic success.
This program is designed for physicians who currently serve in a healthcare executive position, are interested in seeking an executive position in healthcare in the future, desire to build management/leadership skills to better manage a private practice, as well as physicians-in-training/new practicing physicians.
