A 14-year old with left testicular pain and a slowly enlarging, tender, left inguinal mass
A 14-year-old male presented to the pediatric urology clinic complaining of left testicular pain and a slowly enlarging, tender, left inguinal mass that had gotten progressively worse over the past 8 months. The patient had no urinary symptoms. Physical examination revealed a painful, firm, left inguinal mass without erythema. The left testicle, epididymis, and vas deferens were normal to palpation. No inguinal hernias could be appreciated.
